Teaching appointment
Required for January 2010 initially for two terms, to work in this very small rural school, suitably qualified teacher to teach a mixed class of Foundation Stage, Year 1 and 2 pupils for 0.4 - 0.5 of the week.
The person appointed will share the teaching of this class with the present practitioner, who has requested to change from full to part-time. Initially the post will be for Monday afternoon, part of Thursday and all day on Friday. These hours will most probably be changed after Easter.
We are looking for someone who has some experience of teaching a mixed-age class, and a strength in the Foundation Stage would be advantageous. We would expect you to be a good team player, well organised and flexible, with creative and innovative ideas. You must have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum, Early Years and Foundation Stage Guidelines and recent National Strategy initiatives. As this is such a small school, you would need to be prepared to be co-ordinator for several subject areas.
Essential;
· Qualified Teacher Status
· EYFS experience
· Clear CRB and health checks
· Knowledge of N.C. and EYFS Guidelines
· Experience/Ability to Coordinate NC subject/s
· Good behaviour management skills
· Well organised and efficient
· Ability to develop good relationships with children and adults
· Committed to the development of the whole child
· Sense of humour
